DESCRIPTION:Pupfish is a jazz funk group based in Santa Fe\, NM. We play arrangements of funky jazz tunes from the 60’s through the present that encompass the sounds of groove based jazz genres with elements of soul\, funk\, and hip hop covering such artists as Grant Green\, Thelonious Monk\, and modern groups like Soulive and the Greyboy Allstars. \nWe will be featuring Ryan Montano on Trumpet and Dave Wayne on percussion\, as well as Chris Ishee on keyboards. \n  \nAll Ages / Free

SUMMARY:High Desert Playboys
DESCRIPTION:The High Desert Playboys are one of Albuquerque’s best known americana bands. They have been delighting audiences throughout New Mexico with their lively dance sets since 2016. They play a unique blend of original and modern americana\, high energy bluegrass\, classic country\, country gospel\, western swing\, cajun and zydeco standards. \nLed by singer/songwriter Clark Andrew Libbey\, currently an artist on Slow Start Records (Dallas\, TX)\, and Kristen Rad\, one of the areas most sought after electric violinists\, they are comprised of some of the best americana and country musicians in the Albuquerque. Known for strong\, soulful vocals\, delicate harmonies\, exceptional instrumentation and catchy hooks\, they have become a fixture in the brewery\, farmer’s market and festival scenes. Their latest album “Ticker Tape Parade”\, recorded at the nationally renowned Rio Grande Studios\, was released on Slow Start Records in 2022. \n  \n  \nFree / All ages

DESCRIPTION:This is a social art group for anyone who is interested in meeting up to drink..and draw! \nBring your sketchbook/tablet/etc and meet up to have a drink and meet new people in the Santa Fe area. \nThe locations can vary\, but overall mellow bars/pubs/cafes are ideal to sit in a group and converse over some drinks. Suggestions for new places to check out are always welcome! \nPeople from all art backgrounds (from never touched a pencil to a seasoned artist) are welcome. This is a casual art/social group\, group drawing exercises can be done but mostly this is just to have fun\, sketch\, and enjoy meeting new like-minded people. \nRegarding supplies: Dry/non-messy media is ideal considering the public spaces we’ll be meeting at. Pens\, pencils\, and digital media are preferred as to not have to worry about mess clean up. \n  \n~We will be meeting at Second Street Brewery’s Rufina Taproom. Bring any sketchbook/paper and pens/pencils you like\, I always bring extra too! \nWe will be doing a mix of just socializing and drawing plus drawing games like Exquisite Corpse. Hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:The North Valley Tune Tanglers perform a spicy mix of diverse and vibrant tunes and songs from old Appalachia to New Mexico and beyond. They source material from visits with Appalachian old timers\, field recordings collected in Mexico\, and early commercial recordings of country music and western swing. Each performance also includes music from northern New Mexico\, Texas border music\, the beautiful twin fiddle harmonies from the Tohono O’odham people of southern Arizona\, original songs\, and when appropriate\, sing-along standards. The female-fronted band from Chicago\, who are also the best of friends\, use music as a tool to connect and most importantly\, channel feelings around the craziness of modern life. Moody\, soulful\, and sultry\, Daisychain’s classic rock ‘n’ roll sound is one that a wide variety will relate to because it is based around universal emotions. \nBorn of blood\, sweat and tears\, The Strange is the culmination of many lives who have influenced what would become one of The Southwest’s most creative and hard-working true rock acts. Described as “young outlaws” the members of The Strange have battled through many a hardship and hurdle in the process of bringing their brand of “desert rock” to the ears of the region. With no official source of support\, the band has managed to tour extensively across the Southwest\, West Coast\, and Texas as well as having landed some impressive gigs in their hometown. DESCRIPTION:Zaphica was formed in Santa Fe\, New Mexico in early 2022. Their first year as a band saw them recording and releasing their debut EP\, “Inquisition”. Inquisition featured compositions by members Reid Meuth and Brody Silver. Since then\, the group recorded and released their debut album “Directions”\, which features all original material\, again written by Meuth and Silver. In addition to recording\, the band has found considerable success as live performers\, as seen with their sold-out shows at Teatro Paraguas in November 2023 and Paradiso in January 2024.  \n  \nFree / All ages
