ABOUT
Second Street Brewery opened in 1996 as a humble neighborhood brewpub in an out-of-the-way location on 2nd Street in Santa Fe. We steadily gained a devoted local following for our beers and unique atmosphere, which evolved naturally as Santa Fe residents discovered us and became loyal supporters. Over time we became a treasured Santa Fe institution.
Our Railyard location opened in 2010 next to the Market Hall in the Santa Fe Farmers Market Institute on Paseo De Peralta. In 2017, we opened our location at 2920 Rufina Street, our new production and packaging brewery with a popular adjoining restaurant and taproom. In 2022 we decided as a company to re-focus our commitment on producing our well-loved beers and pair down our full restaurant footprint. We closed the original location on Second Street in April 2022 and consolidated our brewing operations to the Rufina Street location in Santa Fe, where we also package in 12oz. and 16oz. can formats for distribution throughout the Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos corridor.
We currently operate two locations in Santa Fe, both featuring a full dining experience to complement our award-winning beers. Since 2001, Second Street Brewery, Inc. has been headed by President/CEO and founding Brewmaster Rod Tweet, along with a talented and dedicated brewery team.
Our purpose: To produce beers of unsurpassed quality, flavor, and personality while being a responsible employer, a contributing force in the New Mexico brewing industry, and an active member of our diverse and vibrant local community.
